TOP STORIES Two arrested with heroin-like substance in Pantha Chowk | KNO Published 20 hours ago on January 13, 2025 By KNO Correspondent Srinagar, Jan 13 (KNO): Police in Pantha Chowk area of Srinagar arrested two individuals and recovered a heroin-like substance during a routine naka (checkpoint) at Zaffron Colony, officials said. An official told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that a team from Panthachowk Police Station stopped two individuals coming from Balhama towards Zaffron Colony late Sunday night. He said that upon searching them, the police recovered 10 grams of a heroin-like substance from their possession. He identified them as Furqan Majeed Khan alias Kanda, son of Abdul Majeed, a resident of Kanipora Nowgam, and Sameer Hussain Dar, son of late Gh Mohammad Dar, a resident of Chatregam Nowgam.
